The 11th STIFF is open!

It’s that time of the year again – the STIFF time. In Rijeka’s Art-kino, in front of the full house, we opened the 11th edition of our festival. A festival that has been bringing a touch of contemporary student film production from all over the world to Rijeka since 2014. A festival that has been organized by Filmaktiv and the University of Rijeka Student Cultural Centre, with immense participation of students supported by their mentors.

The festival was officially opened by Gordan Jelenić, Vice-Rector for Science and Arts of the University of Rijeka; Slobodanka Mišković, Director of Art-kino; Igor Mirković, Director of Cinehill Film Festival; and Katarina Kožul, Artistic Director of the Student International Film Festival.

This year’s edition brings us 33 films from 20 countries, chosen by the festival selectors, Maša Drndić and Marta Ban, from among 900 submitted films from all over the world. And it’s up to us to enjoy these 33 titles, a fantastic exhibition, great workshops, and what is guaranteed to be the most fun film quiz this year. And after the awards ceremony, let’s have the best celebration at the Nemo Club.

STIFF — Student International Film Festival is supported by Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC), City of Rijeka, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Serbian National Council, and Goethe Institute Zagreb. The festival takes place in Art-kino Croatia.
