MASTERCLASS: Srđan Anđelić

Side programme of this year’s STIFF brings experience and knowledge for all young filmmakers and film lovers. Workshops and masterclasses will open the doors to practical knowledge and inspiration that doesn’t come from a textbook, but from years and years of experience and work. With the side programme STIFF wants to support new generations of filmmakers and film lovers in their discovery of all facets of audiovisual production.

And who better to relay the knowledge of screenwriting to young filmmakers than Srđan Anđelić – author of such cult classics as Munje!, 1 na 1, and Do koske? Anđelić is a notable Serbian dramaturge, screenwriter and producer renowned for his work on cult classics and socially engaged projects that have had a huge impact on post-Yugoslav cinematography.

Join Srđan Anđelić in Mini Art-kino for a two-day workshop of screenwriting, Friday 22 and Saturday 23 of November, from 11AM until 1PM. Participants will gain insight into all stages of screenwriting. The first day of the workshop is focused on theoretical advice and guidelines, while the second day will shift to practical aspects: pre-production, working with the director and actors, and how funding can influence the screenwriting process.

Applications for the masterclass are available through the link.

This masterclass will give you a total view of the development of a screenplay, from the first scene to the shooting script – and what a fantastic opportunity it is!
