STIFF Film Critic Workshop starting next week
Anticipating the 5th, jubilee issue of the Student International Film Festival – STIFF (Oct 18th to Oct 21st 2018, Art- kino, Rijeka) which will bring 43 films of all genres (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, hybrid films) and from 22 countries worldwide – the students who find themselves in Rijeka and with an incurable film affiliation, will have the opportunity to participate in the free Film Critic Workshop organized within STIFF film festival.
STIFF Film Critic Workshop registration is open from Oct 9 th to Oct 13 th via e-mail – [email protected] ! The Workshop itself will take place from Oct 15 th to Oct 22 nd, and will be led by Dejan Durić, a film critic and a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Rijeka.
The workshop will entail analyzing the texts important for filmology, getting to know the structure and the types of film critic as such, as well as screenings of some of the STIFFs competition films. As always, this year’s Film Critic Workshop will publish the selection of the best reviews produced within the workshop and selected by the festival’s organization staff, the Filmaktiv organization, and the Student Cultural Centre (SKC), Rijeka (in coordination with “Art kino” in Rijeka). The best film reviews will be published on STIFF’s official web pages.
